Commercial ASES Rating

Commercial Private Airplane Single Engine Sea

Our Commercial ASES Ratings course is essentially the same as our Private ASES Ratings course and can either be completed in our Amphibious Husky or DeHavilland Beaver.

This rating is an add-on to your existing Commercial certificate. If you are a Certified Flight Instructor, the seaplane rating also qualifies you to be a Seaplane CFI.

The three-day course includes normal, rough, and glassy water takeoffs and landings as well as idle, step, and plow taxiing. Of course, since you will be learning in a seaplane, the course also includes docking, ramping and sailing!

Included in the price, the course offers five hours of total flight time (wet)- four hours of dual and one hour for the checkride. Additionally, you will receive five hours of ground with the corresponding study material, as well as the examiner fee with our in-house DPE.
